Winter in October!

Hello out there!

We've neglected our blog for far too long. We're quickly headed toward winter here in Juneau. As you can see we've got several inches of snow these last few days. With all of the rain this summer we should have expected this, but it was still a thrill to see the white stuff so soon this year. Skiing season here we come!

Little Lauren is doing great. She had a urinary track infection that we had to deal with for a few days, but other than that she is growing bigger and bigger every day. See below for new baby pics.

Last month we went South to Sitka for a weekend trip. We had lots of fun shopping and enjoying some much needed sunshine. We took the fast ferry to town and saw lots of rainbows, it was awesome. The bear in the photo below resides at the local bear habitat at the end of the road.

The cave at the bottom of the picture is actually a mud/snow slide pushed down the side of the mountain. Avalanches come down the mountainside every year and slowly melt during the summer.

Our first attempt at Lauren's halloween costume. It was a little big as you can see, we've swapped it for a new one. Stay tuned!

This last Friday B.J. took the PE exam. Ashley couldn't be happier for this day to come! 6 months of studying and being the absentee father are finally over. He feels pretty good about the test, the first 4 hour portion went very good, the afternoon portion was a bit harder. We celebrated with friends last night at the Hangar.
